Light the sage or palo santo to create as much smoke and as little flame as possible. Direct the smoke to yourself by starting at your feet, up to your head and back down again.
Open your windows. Set your intention and walk around your space making sure to direct the smoke into all corners using your hands to wave the smoke where it needs to go.
